News & Press
Pixel Post® is a combination of mail and announcement
- Delivers a message to a particular person (like the post office)
- Displays it like a billboard (on a single Internet page, where anyone can read it)
- Posts pixel-sized messages with links to its own webpage
- Archives where posted messages remain visible and accessible for years
- Provides information and amusement for website visitors
History of Pixel Pages
The Pixel Page was the brainchild of Alex Thew, a 21-year-old student in England. His website, http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com./
He charged $1 per pixel (in blocks of 100 pixels) to advertisers, who linked their pixel ad to their business websites (gaining both visibility and inks). So he introduced the concept of pixel ads, and posting them from a single massive webpage. His feat created considerable buzz and millions of visitors.
Thew sold all million pixels in a few short months - indeed earning One Million Dollars.
He has been broadly imitated, but all the uses since have attempted to sell ad space. And have not been able to duplicate his groundbreaking success (I guess that’s the edge that groundbreakers get).
Worlds-Smallest-Loveletters.com Moves Pixels out of the Advertising Mindset
This site is for lovers and for those who care about romance. It’s a whole new way of communicating love. While love is indeed timeless, this site put technology in service to love. A unique way to tell someone they’re special.
Because it is both a private message (between the lovers) and a public announcement, it’s the modern equivalent of “shouting from the rooftops.” Or it another way to care your “John + Mary” on the old oak tree.
The Blog about it is functioning at
